The Kindness Crew: Assembly Challenge

A ready-to-run primary school assembly about hidden differences, empathy and everyday kindness

The Assembly Challenge is a self-running, animated assembly experience designed for KS1 and KS2 pupils.

It introduces children to the idea that some differences aren’t visible — and that small acts of curiosity, respect and kindness can make school life better for everyone.

No external facilitator required.

No subscription required.

Minimal preparation.


Time Commitment

  • Assembly video with associated interactive activities: approximately 10 minutes
  • Completing feedback survey: 2–3 minutes
  • Optional follow-up activities (story, rules): 10–20 minutes

Designed to fit into existing PSHE, RSHE or themed weeks (e.g. Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Anti-Bullying Week).

The Assembly Challenge supports:

It complements existing SEND and safeguarding frameworks by promoting empathy and peer understanding.

Cost

The Assembly Challenge is currently offered at no cost to schools.

Optional reinforcement materials (such as printed flyers for families) may be made available, but participation in the Assembly Challenge itself is free and without subscription.
